Top wish: our own veggie garden

Masiphumelele Creative Hub has started to look for available land to plant a vegetable garden. The sustainable way forward is to grow healthy food in close proximity to where we live.

Metro Organics’ vegetable garden in Noordhoek is a visulatisation of our dream.

We are receiving wonderful donations from several organisations and individuals. They include: Tamkhulu Dr Lutz Van Dijk of HOKISA, Noordhoek Environmental Action Group (NEAG), Metro Organics, Noordhoek CAN, Stephen Adshead & family, Living Hope, Care Company, Uthando SA, Mette Hesjedal via birthday fundraising, Anton Crone via fine art print sales, Sarah Duff via Zoom disco, Kandi via CovidCutsSA, Kunye Masks, Projekt Ubuntu, Tony Burgess, Harcourts Foundation, Fenn Collection, Escape+Explore, Jeremy Midgley, Robert Ingle, Masicorp, Angela of Jardim family organic garden, Chic Mamas Do Care, Isabelle Webb, Pernille Stallemo & Nonophela Travel. A big thank you to EVERYONE for supporting people in Masiphumelele. We can only do this with your involvement and we wish to grow it together with you.

If you know of available land in walking distance to Masiphumelele we would love to hear from you. To be able to establish a vegetable garden would be a long-cherished dream come through.
